Brief Introduction:

Agreement:

The collaboration now between the School of Physical Science and Engineering and Faculty of Science, University of Waterloo(UW) is the continuation of the educational cooperation between the former School of Science, BJTU and Faculty of Science, UW. The two universities  firstly reached collaborative education agreement in 2008. After five years of collaboration and frequent mutual visits by students, faculty members and administrative leaders of both Faculties, they decided to further extend and deepen the relationship and collaboratively applied to the Ministry of Education, P.R.C., for running a joint undergraduate program in nanomaterials and technology. This program was approved in the end of 2012 and welcomed first 55 students in 2013. Since then, the program enrolls up to 60 students each year through Gaokao. BJTU and UW design the program together and students of this program study at BJTU during the first, second and fourth year of the program, and at UW during the third year. Subject to satisfactory completion of the degree requirements of each University, students will receive a graduation certificate and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Nanomaterials and Technology from BJTU and a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials and Nanoscience from UW.
